This visa is initiated by the Saudi employer, who secures a job-offer approval and visa allocation through the Ministry of Human Resources' "Qiwa" platform, signs an employment contract, has the visa issued through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and finally arranges residency (Iqama) through the "Muqeem" platform after the worker's arrival.
Very Important Notice: Temporary Suspension of Work Visas
According to a specialized immigration advisory report dated February 6, 2026, Saudi Arabia suspended the acceptance, processing, and issuance of Temporary Work Visas for a number of nationalities, including Sudan, with no official reason or end date announced. This means the suspension may still be in effect today. This is not the first such suspension — Sudanese work visas faced a similar halt in April 2025, followed by a partial reopening under tighter conditions in mid-2025. We strongly recommend verifying directly with us before starting any procedure or incurring any costs, to avoid entering a process that may currently be suspended.
Consular Situation in Sudan
After the Saudi Embassy in Khartoum suspended operations in 2023, work visa issuance partially resumed through the "Tashir" center in Port Sudan starting in late 2025, requiring the contract to be attested by the Saudi Chamber of Commerce and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, plus an approved medical exam (Wafid/GAMCA) at an approved medical center in Port Sudan.
