Saudi Personal Visit Visa

This is a genuinely distinct visa from the family visit visa, intended for visiting someone with no family or commercial relationship to you (a friend or acquaintance). It is issued by Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs as its own separate service, and is reviewed more strictly than the family visit visa.

Who Can Host You?

Per the official Saudi MOFA website, this visa is limited to hosting by a Saudi citizen only (not residents), and the final approval of stay duration and number of entries is at the discretion of the relevant authorities on a case-by-case basis.

Current Situation for Applicants From Sudan

As with the family visit visa, applications for Sudanese nationals are currently processed through the "Tashir" center in Port Sudan rather than Khartoum, which has a history of repeated, unexplained suspensions during 2025. Sudan is also subject to seasonal restrictions on visit visas that may limit entry to a single visit or temporarily suspend issuance altogether.
