Kuwait Visa

The route to a Kuwait visa for Sudanese nationals depends on your travel history, so it's important to know the correct path before applying to avoid rejection or delays.

The Simplified e-Visa

Kuwait offers a simplified e-Visa system, but it is not generally available to Sudanese passport holders unless the applicant already holds one of the following, valid: a Schengen visa, UK visa, US visa, or a valid GCC residence permit. Holders of one of these can apply online and typically receive the visa within a few days.

The Standard Route: Sponsorship or Embassy

If you do not hold a qualifying visa or residence permit, your available path is:

  • Sponsor-initiated visa: a relative or employer based in Kuwait applies on your behalf through the relevant Kuwaiti authorities, then sends the approval for you to complete the process.
  • Embassy application: without a sponsor, you apply directly through the Kuwaiti diplomatic mission with a fuller set of supporting documents.

This route requires more documentation than the e-Visa and takes longer, since it must pass through official channels inside Kuwait before approval.

How Baeed Helps

At Baeed, we provide full follow-up for your Kuwait visa regardless of your route: we help prepare the sponsorship file and coordinate with your sponsor in Kuwait, or prepare and review your embassy application documents to ensure they're complete the first time, plus ongoing status tracking until the visa is issued.

Requirements

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months
  • Recent passport-style photo with white background
  • For holders of a valid Schengen/UK/US visa or GCC residence permit: a copy of that document to apply for the e-Visa
  • For others: a sponsorship letter from a relative or employer based in Kuwait, or direct embassy application with additional documents (hotel booking, flight reservation, bank statement)
  • Completed visa application form

Important Notes

  • Important: Kuwait's simplified e-Visa is not generally available to Sudanese passport holders unless they already hold a valid Schengen, UK, or US visa, or a valid GCC residence permit.
  • Without one of these documents, you must apply through a Kuwait-based sponsor (relative or employer) or directly through the Kuwaiti embassy — a longer and more document-heavy process than the e-Visa.
