France is a member of the Schengen Area, and Sudanese passport holders are required to obtain a Schengen visa before traveling. At Baeed, we provide you with full assistance to complete this visa despite the current complications caused by the closure of the French consulate in Khartoum.
Important Notice on Where to Apply
The French consulate in Khartoum has been closed since the outbreak of war in April 2023, and there is currently no visa reception center inside Sudan. The France-Visas platform directs Sudanese applicants to apply through a French consulate or visa application center in a neighboring country, with Cairo often being the nearest and most accessible option. At Baeed, we provide full guidance to identify the correct center and arrange your appointment there.
Application Steps
- Complete the Schengen visa application form online via the France-Visas platform
- Book an appointment at the approved consulate or visa application center (outside Sudan)
- Submit the application in person with required documents and biometric data
- Pay the visa fee at the time of submission
Processing Time
Standard processing typically takes 15 to 20 working days after submission. Because applications must currently go through a consulate in a third country, this timeline can extend further due to additional factors such as arranging travel to the application location, higher demand at that consulate, and procedural variation between centers. We recommend applying at least a month and a half before your travel date.
