Czechia Visa

Due to the ongoing situation in Sudan, the Swiss Embassy's representation arrangement for handling Czech visa applications in Khartoum has been terminated, and there is no longer any office in Sudan accepting Czech Schengen visa applications. All Sudanese applicants must now submit their applications through the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Cairo, Egypt, which is currently the only authorized office processing applications from Sudanese citizens.

How Baeed Helps You

Given the added complexity of having to travel to Cairo to submit the application and attend the interview, we provide you at Baeed with complete guidance through the Czech Embassy Cairo application process — from booking the appointment and preparing required documents, to coordinating with the relevant office, submitting the file, and tracking the application status. We can also help arrange your travel to Cairo, including flights and accommodation, if needed.

Required Documents

  • Passport valid for at least 3 months beyond the return date, with at least two blank pages
  • Completed and signed Schengen visa application form
  • Recent passport-style photo meeting Schengen specifications
  • Travel medical insurance covering the Schengen area with a minimum of €30,000
  • Round-trip flight reservation
  • Proof of accommodation in Czechia (hotel booking or invitation letter)
  • Bank statement proving financial capability to cover trip costs
  • Proof of a booked interview appointment at the Czech Embassy in Cairo

Processing Time

Processing typically takes 15 to 20 business days after submission in Cairo. This may take longer due to the need to travel and secure an appointment in person, so we recommend applying well ahead of your planned travel date.

Important Notes

  • Important: The Swiss Embassy's arrangement for handling Czech visa applications in Khartoum has been terminated due to the war in Sudan.
  • All Sudanese applicants must now apply through the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Cairo, Egypt — there is currently no alternative office inside Sudan.
  • Because travel to Cairo and a pre-booked appointment are required, applicants should plan for a longer lead time than usual before their travel date.
