Visa-Free Countries for Sudanese Passport Holders 2026

A Sudanese passport allows entry to a number of countries without needing to obtain a visa in advance, either through completely visa-free entry or via a visa granted on arrival. This guide summarizes the leading destinations under Baeed's classification system, noting that requirements are subject to change by each country's authorities at any time.

Countries with No Visa Required at All

Several African and Caribbean countries allow Sudanese passport holders to enter directly without any prior visa procedure, most notably Kenya (up to 60 days, with a mandatory yellow fever vaccination certificate), Mauritania, Benin, The Gambia, Ghana, Haiti, Madagascar, Dominica, and Djibouti.

Visa-on-Arrival Countries

Another group of countries issues the visa directly at the point of entry (usually the airport) without requiring an advance online application, such as Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, Bangladesh, Rwanda, Seychelles, Tanzania, and Zambia. A valid passport and payment of the fee — in cash or by card, depending on the country — remain essential requirements in this case.

Countries Requiring an Advance eVisa

Countries such as Ethiopia, Uganda, and South Sudan require submitting an electronic eVisa application before travel — these visas are not available on arrival, so the process must be completed in advance to avoid being denied entry at the airport.

Destinations Requiring Special Approval or Clearance

Some destinations geographically close to Sudan, most notably Egypt, do not fall under the standard visa system, and instead require prior security clearance specifically for Sudanese passport holders. See our dedicated article on this topic for full details.

Before Booking Any Trip

  • Make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months from the date of travel.
  • Check the yellow fever vaccination certificate requirement if the destination is in Africa.
  • Don't rely on a general classification alone — check each country's page or contact its embassy directly before booking, as restrictions change over time.

At Baeed Travel & Tourism, we regularly review each destination's requirements based on the latest available information, and we help you determine the most suitable destination for your situation and assist you with the process if the country requires a visa in advance.
